Wisconsin Badgers bounce back 2026

WISCONSIN BADGERS Big 10 Sleeper – The Badgers look to bounce back after failing to make a bowl game in each of the last 2 seasons after reaching the post-season every year since 2002 prior to that.  As a result of improved play, they showed some life near the end of last season beating 2 ranked teams (Illinois and Washington) in their final in November.

The Bucky defense really played well after a few changes late last season holding 4 of their last 5 opponents to 21 points or less (National Champ Indiana the only team that topped 21).  Consequently, we expect them to be solid again on that side of the ball again in 2026-27.

Much of the Badgers offensive woes can be attributed to injuries at QB with Wisconsin losing their starting signal caller early in the season each of the last 2 years.  After injuries, they were down to their 3rd and 4th string QB midway through last season.  As a result of poor QB play a year ago, they brought in Old Dominion starting QB Colton Joseph who threw for over 2600 yards and ran for over 1000 yards last season.  We feel he’s the perfect fit for OC Grimes offense.

The schedule is MUCH more manageable this season with a strength of schedule ranking outside the top 100 (win/loss method) after sitting in the top 5 last season.

South Carolina football predictions 2026.

SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS sleeper team – The Gamecocks finished a disappointing 4-8 last season which was their worst season under head coach Shane Beamer.  Their only other losing season under Beamer was in 2023 when they finished 5-7 and bounced back in 2024 with a 9-4 record. 

Despite their record, South Carolina had a positive point differential and positive yards per play differential last season.  Kendal Briles (TCU offensive coordinator last season) has been brought in to coordinate the offense and he should have success with 3rd year starting QB Sellers back. 

The O-line is rebuilt with transfers but has a ton of experience with over 6,000 combined snaps, the most in college football.  The offense as a whole brings back over 10,600 snaps, also the most in CFB. 

The Gamecocks should get off to a fast start as they should be favored in 4 of their first 5 games and only 1 road tilt during that stretch. South Carolina could provide some solid betting value early on in 2026. Furthermore, the South Carolina hopes to emerge as the SEC Sleeper, and the Gamecocks could be a surprise team in 2026 due to their experienced leadership and key playmakers.

As anticipation builds, many are pointing to the possibility that the Gamecocks could be South Carolina’s true SEC Sleeper in 2026.

This is our model’s projected value for that stat, in that game, for that player. It comes from recent performance, matchup history, and opponent tendencies, not a gut feeling.

LINE

This is the number the sportsbook is offering. It’s the target our projection gets compared against.

DIR (Direction)

This shows whether we think the player goes OVER or UNDER the line. If our projection is higher than the line, we lean OVER. If it’s lower, we lean UNDER.

PROB (Probability)

This is our model’s estimate of how likely the pick is to hit. It’s built from thousands of similar matchups, not a single game.

EDGE

This is the number that actually matters. Edge is Probability minus 50%.

Fifty percent is the real breakeven point for a coin flip prop. If our model says a pick has a 58% probability of hitting, the edge is 8%. The bigger the edge, the stronger we like the play. In summary, Cover Kings AI driven Player Props provide a systematic and transparent approach to betting.

Dallas Wings Under 22.5 Regular Season Wins

The Dallas Wings won just 10 games a year ago with a 10-34 record and a negative average scoring differential of minus-6.3 ppg. They posted the 11th-worst net rating in the WNBA at -7.9.

Paige Bueckers will be better in her second season and could be a longshot MVP candidate, but even a leap from the 2025 Rookie of the Year won’t be enough to carry this group. Bueckers led the Wings in scoring at 19.2 ppg, and added 5.4 assists per game, steals at 1.6 and blocks at 0.5 across 36 games while earning All-WNBA honors.

Dallas also returns Arike Ogunbowale and her 15.5 ppg and 4.1 assists per game in 29 appearances. They’ll need to make up for Myisha Hines-Allen, who led the team in rebounding a year ago at 6.0RPG, but has since departed to Indiana.

The Wings did add backcourt depth with the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft, Azzi Fudd (Bueckers girlfriend). Even with back-to-back No. 1 overall picks, the supporting cast remains thin up front and the defensive issues run deep. Dallas was the second-worst defense in the W a year ago with a defensive rating of 109.9 while giving up 88 ppg. They allowed opponents to shoot 45.9% from the field and struggled to force turnovers at just 13.5 per game (10th out of 13 teams).

The Wings will face a middle-of-the-pack strength of schedule in 2026 (SOS ranked 9th league-wide), offering no easy path for a massive turnaround.

With the same foundational problems that produced one of the league’s worst net ratings and a 24-game gap to the playoff line last season, we don’t see this team improving by 13 or more wins.
