McCollum continues to see a high usage rate for the Hawks and is one of the few vets on this team with big game experience. He is coming off a 26-point scoring night in Game 1 of this series on 11 of 20 shooting. He has gone OVER this prop total in 6 of his last ten games. The Knicks allow 23.3ppg on the season to shooting guards and have allowed 5 of the last eight similar players to McCollum go OVER their scoring prop. We expect McCollum to find the bottom of the net plenty in Game 2 against the Knicks.
ASA NBA free bet on Chicago Bulls -1.5 vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 7PM ET
There is something very strange about this game/line as the Pelicans are getting a ton of support from the public, yet the line moved from them being favored to the Bulls now laying -1.5-points. This will be the first time this season the Pelicans ‘were’ a road favorite and we’re not so sure they are better than the injury depleted Bulls. Chicago will be without Giddy and White but expect Tre Jones and Ayo Dosunmu to step up in their absence. The Pelicans have their own concerns with depth as Herb Jones and Alvarado are both out of the line up tonight. The Pelicans have an efficiency differential of minus -7.2 on the season, the Bulls are better overall at -4.1. New Orleans is just 2-11 SU on the road this season whereas the Bulls are a respectable 8-8 SU at home. The Bulls have lost to the Pelicans twice this season which should mean we get a focused effort out of the Chicago roster tonight. Play on the Bulls.
ASA NBA play on: UNDER 12.5 Pts – Collin Gillespie – Phoenix Suns
Gillespie has been shooting above expectations in recent weeks and has also seen an increase in his overall usage. That coincides with the injury to Grayson Allen who was out Nov 16th – Nov 28th. Gillespie went over this scoring prop in all 7 games playing extended minutes. As soon as Allen returned he managed to score 10-points against the Nuggets. When Gilliespie has played 28 or less minutes per game he has stayed UNDER this scoring prop in 12 of 16 games. The Lakers are better than average when it comes to defending PG/SG. With Allen taking away minutes we don’t see Gillespie getting over his scoring prop in this one.
OVER 21.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists – Khris Middleton Washington Wizards
K-Midd returns to Milwaukee tonight to face his former mates and the team he played for 12 seasons. Middleton looked healthy in the preseason playing 20+ minutes in two games and he is tabbed a starter tonight for the Wiz. His usage should be 30+ minutes in this game with projected numbers of: 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Washington was the 4th fastest paced team in the NBA a year ago which means plenty of possession in this game against the Bucks, who were only slightly better than league average in Defensive Efficiency a year ago.
We expect a big game out of Middleton in his return to Milwaukee.
