#255/256 ASA PLAY ON Over 48.5 Points – Las Vegas Raiders vs New Orleans Saints, Sunday at 1:00 PM ET

Two of the higher scoring teams in the NFL squaring off here with Vegas ranking 3rd at 27 PPG and New Orleans 7th at 25 PPG.  They both rank in the top 7 in the NFL in YPP offense as well.  Saints games are averaging 53 total PPG and Raider games are averaging 52 total PPG.  The Saints defense has struggled this season as they have allowed 28 PPG and they have allowed 6 of their 7 points to reach or eclipse their team totals.  The Raider defense is also among the worst in the NFL allowing every opponent to reach at least 20 points including Tennessee, Houston, and Denver who rank 21st, 28th and 32nd in scoring this season.  The Raiders have scored points on 55% of their offensive possessions this year which is the highest rate in the league and should have plenty of success in this one.  On the other side of the ball the Las Vegas defense has allowed TD’s on 15 of opponents 20 red zone appearances which his the 3rd worst rate in the NFL.  The New Orleans offense has scored a TD on nearly 30% of their red zone plays which is 2nd in the league.  The Saints have combined with their opponent to score at least 50 points in 5 of their 7 games this season and the Raiders have combined with their opponent to score at least 50 points in 4 of their 6 games.  These 2 have combined to go 9-4 to the OVER this season and we have this one getting to at least 50 points.  Take the OVER.

ASA 4 NFL Player Props for Sunday, October 30th 2022

Miami Dolphins – Jaylen Waddle Over 64 Rec Yards (-119)

Last week Waddle turned 4 catches into 88 yards with only 5 targets. Detroit is giving up roughly 250 passing yards per game this season making it a salivating matchup for the Miami speedster. If Detroit can regain some of its early season offensive output, we may see a shootout at Ford Field. Set at the highest O/U of the weekend (50.5), Waddle could easily double his yardage total without surprising anyone. 

Atlanta Falcons – Marcus Mariota Under 161.5 Pass Yards (-117)

Atlanta has been dead set on running the football no matter the score in 2022. In week seven, the Bengals scored 21 unanswered points on their first three drives, yet Mariota only threw 13 times the entire game while trailing. He has not surpassed 150 passing yards once in his previous four games. Additionally, Carolina’s defense played great against the Bucs, holding them to three total points. 

New Orleans Saints – Alvin Kamara Over 38.5 Rec Yards (-117)

Andy Dalton was named the starter once again for week 8. This bodes well for Kamara as he has collected six or more passes in the three games they have both started. Las Vegas ranks 27th in passing yards allowed per game. With how involved the Saints stud running back is in the passing game, expect there to be plenty of room for Kamara to operate. Volume alone will make him a valuable bet. 

NY Giants Saquon Barkley Over 84.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Barkley is averaging 103.71 rushing yards per game and this Seattle defense will be the worst rush D they have faced this season. The Seahawks give up 147.9 Rushing Yards Per game which ranks 29th in the NFL. The Hawks D-line ranks 19th in “Hog Index”. The Giants rank 10th in O-Line “Hog Index”. Let’s do some simple math here: Seattle gives up 4.9-Yards Per Rush. Barkley averages 20.43-Rush Attempts Per Game. Barkley averages 5.1-Yards Per Rush. If it’s an “average” game Barkley should rush for over 102.15 rushing yards.

Tampa Bay Brady Passing Yards Over/Under

ASA NFL Player Prop OVER 277.5 PASSING YARDS – Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Ravens pass defense has not been good this season ranking 26th in the league in passing yards allowed per game. The Bucs have the 6th best passing offense in the NFL in terms of passing yards per game. Tampa has a stagnant rushing attack and rank last in the NFL which means they’ll have to throw more to keep up in this one. The Bucs get WR Godwin back which should immediately improve the passing attack. Even though the offense hasn’t put up points, Brady has still thrown for over 290-yards in 3 of the last four games. The Ravens have a banged up secondary which means the GOAT has a big passing game and we bet OVER his total in this NFL Player Prop.

Cleveland Browns – David Njoku Over 37.5 Rec Yards (-114)

We are going “back to the well”, riding Njoku once more this week. He has had 58 or more yards in his last four games while commanding at least six targets during each contest. Baltimore ranks 28th in passing yards allowed per game which should give way for Njoku to once again surpass his low yardage projection set by oddsmakers. Until we see his target share decline, or oddsmakers boost his yardage total, Cleveland’s versatile TE will remain an intriguing option.

Seattle Seahawks – Geno Smith Under .5 INTs (+110)

Seattle has been one of the few NFL teams to actually surpass offensive expectations to start the year. Thought to have one of the worst offenses entering 2022, Geno Smith has led the Seahawks to a top 10 offense in points scored. Smith is playing the best football of his career, with a 9/2 TD/INT ratio and a 108.1 passer rating. With only 2 picks so far this year, plus money on Geno to have another clean game holds a lot of value.  

Atlanta Falcons – Olamide Zaccheaus Over 31.5 Rec Yards (-114)

Zaccheaus has been a quiet but vital part of the Falcons surprising 3-3 start. Despite Marcus Mariota’s lack of passing ability, he has connected with Zaccheaus at least twice every single game, usually for chunk plays. In 5 of their 6 games, Olamide has one catch of at least 20 or more yards, also surpassing 38 yards in all of those 5 games. With the few looks Zaccheaus gets, he is extremely efficient, catching 89% of his targets. This trend should continue in a high scoring matchup with the Bengals.

NFL Player Props for Week 5 in the NFL – ASA

Kenny Pickett Over 18.5 Rush Yards (-115)

Last week Pickett rushed for 15 yards on 6 carries, also punching in 2 rushing touchdowns. Additionally, the rookie from Pitt threw 3 Ints on his 13 pass attempts. With a full week of first team reps, Pickett will lead the Steelers into Buffalo for a baptism by fire. Mike Tomlin will pull out all the stops to get his team off a 3 game losing streak, including utilizing his QBs running ability to limit turnovers. Pickett will need to scramble regularly in a game that the Steelers should be playing from behind. 

Cooper Kupp Over 8.5 Recs (-105)

Kupp is arguably the best WR in football currently, averaging 10.5 receptions per game so far this year. Sean McVay schemes Kupp open and Matthew Stafford rarely looks to go elsewhere with the ball. Dallas has been stingy against the pass, ranking 6th in pass yards per game in 2022. However, Kupp should continue to see massive volume in the short and intermediate route concepts that will allow the Rams to get the ball out quick. 

DJ Moore Under 50.5 Rec Yards (-115)

The Panthers offense has been abysmal this year, ranking dead last in yards per game. Everyone thought Baker Mayfield would be an upgrade over Sam Darnold, but we’ve seen much of the same. DJ Moore is averaging 34.5 yards per game, and is fresh off an uninspiring 6 for 50 against the Cardinals depleted secondary. San Francisco’s defense ranks first in both sacks and points allowed, making for a long afternoon for Carolina’s offense.
