That snapped a trend that we expect to resume tonight and that is a strong under trend which has been underway for both clubs.  The A’s had just 3 overs last 12 games entering last night’s game and the Tigers were on an under streak of 9 in a row.  James Kaprielian has a 3.65 ERA on the season.  Wily Peralta has a 1.93 ERA in his 4 home starts and 3 were unders and 1 one was a push.  The Tigers have scored an average of 2.5 runs their last ten games.  The A’s had scored an average of 2.7 runs in the last 7 games prior to having a big game yesterday.  This will be the first start these pitchers are making against these respective opponents in their careers.  In other words, there is a lack of familiarity for the hitters and this generally favors the pitchers.  Based on their current form and yesterday’s unusual result, there is a lot of line value here.  Per our computer math model, this game lands around 7 to 8 runs and even if it reaches 9 that is still a winning ticket based on the 9.5 that is posted at most books as of early morning Wednesday.  We like the odds being in our favor for a well-pitched affair in this one!  Bet the UNDER
