#784 ASA FREE PLAY ON UCLA +6.5 over Illinois, Saturday at 8 PM ET

DON’T MISS OUR BEST BET ACTION DAILY HERE AT ASAWINS.COM!

This is just a gigantic home game for the Bruins who are fighting to get into the NCAA tourney.  They have 2 more shots to add a high level win to their resume, tonight vs Illinois and at home vs Nebraska on March 3rd.  The Bruins are 14-1 at home this season, including a win over Purdue, with their only loss coming by 1 point in double OT vs Indiana.  We really like the situation for UCLA as well as they are coming off back to back blowout losses @ Michigan (#1 team in the country) and @ Michigan State who was coming off a 20 point loss @ Wisconsin.  Those losses should give UCLA a little extra motivation here.  On top of that, they catch the Illini off a blowout win @ USC on Wednesday night (Trojans were without their best player Baker-Mazara) and now on the 2nd leg of their west coast trip.  Illinois might be a bit full of themselves after that AND they host Michigan next so this is a potential flat spot for them.  The Bruins are back at full strength with key guard Skyy Clark (13 PPG and 48% 3 point FG%) playing in the last 2 games after missing 10 straight games.  UCLA shoots 49% at home and 40% from beyond the arc while averaging 83 PPG.  Their defense is their strength ranking top 50 in defensive efficiency and 3rd in the Big 10 defending the arc which is key vs an Illini offense that takes 51% of their shots from 3 point land (10th most in the country).  On the other end of the court, UCLA ranks 2nd in the Big 10 making 37% of their triples (that was without Clark their best 3 point shooter for 10 games) while Illinois is 9th in the league defending the arc.  The Bruins have won 15 of their 18 home games in Big 10 play since joining the conference and 2 of those losses were by 1 and 3 points.  They’ve been a home dog just once during that stretch vs Purdue this year (UCLA won outright).  Dangerous game for the Illini and we like UCLA to keep this tight throughout.  DON’T FORGET TO CHECK OUT OUR BEST BET TODAY IN COLLEGE HOOPS!

Free College Basketball Bet | Houston vs Kansas | Jan 25 2025

#765/766 ASA FREE BET ON Under 128.5 Points – Houston vs Kansas, Saturday at 6:30 PM ET

The 2 strongest units on each team are easily the defenses.  Both rank in the top 5 nationally in defensive efficiency and Houston ranks #1 in the country in PPG allowed while KU ranks #16.  Both defenses also match up very well vs the opposing offense.  Kansas does not shoot many 3’s (289th in 3 point attempts) so most of their work is done inside the arc.  Houston just happens to be the #1 defense in the nation defending inside the arc allowing opponents to make only 39% of their 2 point attempts.  On the other end, Houston makes 8.5 triples per game (111th) but the Kansas defense has been outstanding defending beyond the arc giving up just 28% which is good for 10th in the country..  Houston defense allows only 17.9 made FG’s per game which is ridiculous (1st nationally) while KU only allows 22 made FG’s per game (23rd best).  So in order to put up some points in this game, these teams better get to the FT line which we don’t see happening very often.  Houston ranks 334th in percentage of points from the FT line and Kansas ranks 364th (dead last) in that metric.  These teams have combined to play 34 games this season and 29 of them have gone Under the total.  Add another Under to the ledger here as we expect a low scoring, grinder type game.

Free College Basketball Bet | 3-9-24 | Wake Forest vs Clemson

#688 ASA PLAY ON Wake Forest -3.5 over Clemson, Saturday at 6 PM ET

Free college bet today from ASA. An absolute must win here for Wake at home and they are squarely on the bubble and out right now by most bracketologists.  A loss here would most likely end their dreams of getting invited to the Big Dance.  Add to that the fact the Demon Deacons are off a home loss, their first home loss of the season, and we love this situation.

The Deacs are 15-1 at home (12-4-1 ATS) with a win over Duke included, and their 1 point loss at home on Tuesday vs Georgia Tech was their worst performance of the season so we look for a strong bounce back performance.  They shot just 42% in that game (they average 51% at home) and made only 25% of their 3’s (they average 42% from deep at home).  They have a PPG margin of +18 at home this season.

The Tigers have been winning (7-2 last 9 games) but only 1 of their last 8 games have come against a team ranked in the top 8 in the conference.  They’ve played the 2nd easiest SOS in the ACC this season yet their adjusted efficiency margins are lower than Wake who has played the tougher league slate.  WF has lost 3 straight games since topping Duke here and that’s giving us some value as they are laying basically the same number vs Clemson (-3) as they were vs the Blue Devils.  In a must win spot we like Wake who has been nearly unbeatable at home as today’s free bet.

Free bet | George Mason vs Tennessee prediction | Dec 5th

ASA free play on: UNDER 137 George Mason at Tennessee, 6:30PM ET

The Volunteers are one of the very best defensive teams in college basketball under HC Barnes year in and year out and this season is no different. UT ranks 2nd in defensive efficiency ratings allowing .903 points per possession despite playing the 6th toughest schedule in college basketball. The Vols are coming off a game in which they allowed 100-points to North Carolina so we’re betting they will be in ‘lock down’ mode here against a very deliberate George Mason offense. The Patriots rank 331st in adjusted tempo and 301st in average possession length. GM is 313th in total field goal attempts per game at 55.8. They are above average in field goal percentage shooting, but they haven’t faced a defense of this quality and the Vols allow opponents to hit just 39.3% from the field. Tennessee isn’t a great shooting team themselves at 43.2% which ranks 256th and they are only slightly faster than average in pace. George Mason allowing 1.018 points per possession which ranks them top third in college hoops and they own the 37th best Effective FG% against.
